THE THIRTEENTH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION OF The World's Foremost Exposition FERRIN GALLERY PRESENTS In the fall of 1996 Ferrin Gallery presented the sculptures of Sergei Isupov for the first time at SOFA Chicago and he has continued to show with the gallery each year. Since immigrating to the US in 1991, the career that unfolded is a classic example of the symbiotic relationship between creativity, market forces and audience. Having arrived in this country with regional recognition in the former USSR, his work is now included in numerous major museums and private collections. In addition it has been featured in countless shows and international surveys, and extensively published in periodicals and books. The body of work he produced in this ten year period is clearly recognized as one of the most important and influential to enter the field of ceramic sculpture during this decade. We are honoring this ten year relationship between Ferrin Gallery and Sergei Isupov at SOFA Chicago 2006 with a new body of work as well as selections from the collection of the artist and other private collections.
