Sergei Isupov
"Performance", 2002 "Transfiguration", is from his recent series of porcelain seated figures. Isupov who has been described as a "erotic surrealist", paints detailed imagery on complex animal and human figures. Born in Stavrapole, Russia, he emigrated to the US in 1992 and currently lives in Richmond, Virginia. He is a 2001 recipient of the Louis Comfort Tiffany Biennial Award. View
